The Kimberly FoundationKimberly Rose Cancer Foundation

The Kimberly Rose Cancer Foundation was founded in loving memory of 15-year-old Kim-Batya Asher who died from a rare form of Osteosarcoma.

The foundation aims to offer early discoverers of the disease a research function to provide information/advice on alternative and/or complimentary cancer treatment options outside South Africa.

The foundation also aims to raise funds in order to import much needed cancer-fighting equipment for South Africa to assist those who, under normal circumstances, may not be able to afford international treatments.

The foundation will use events to raise funds and also plans to release a book, detailing the story of Kim and her family from the day she was diagnosed to the months after her passing – in the meantime, the book is being published in the form of a blog.

A portion of each rider’s entry fee will be donated to the fund in support of the foundation.
